Looking for a GP in Crumlin or Dublin 12?
If you live in Crumlin, Walkinstown, Kimmage, Drimnagh or the wider Dublin 12 area and you need to register with a local GP, Clarius Health Crumlin is welcoming new patients. Our practice on Kildare Road looks after medical card (GMS) patients, Doctor Visit Card holders and private patients, with same-week appointments in most cases.
This guide explains who can register, what you’ll need, and how to get started.
Where we are
Clarius Health Crumlin is located on Kildare Road, Dublin 12 — easily reached from Crumlin village, Walkinstown, Drimnagh and Kimmage. The practice is part of the Clarius Health group, which also runs clinics in Camden Street (Dublin 2) and on Cabra Road (Dublin 7).
Can I register if I have a medical card?
Yes. If you hold a medical card (the GMS scheme), you can nominate a GP of your choice and your GP visits are covered by the HSE — there’s no charge to see your doctor, and prescriptions are covered under the medical card scheme. To register, you simply choose Clarius Health Crumlin as your GP and we complete the paperwork with you.
If you don’t yet have a medical card but think you may qualify, you can still register with us as a private or Doctor Visit Card patient in the meantime, and we can see you while your application is processed.
What about a Doctor Visit Card (DVC)?
A Doctor Visit Card covers the cost of your GP consultations — you won’t pay to see the doctor — although it doesn’t cover prescriptions or other services the way a full medical card does. Children under 8 and adults over 70 are covered automatically, and many others qualify based on income. If you hold a DVC, you can register with Clarius Health Crumlin and your GP visits are free at the point of care.

Registering as a private patient
You don’t need any card to register with us. Private GP consultations at Crumlin are €70 for a standard 15-minute appointment, and we offer same-week and often same-day availability. This is a popular option for people who want to be seen quickly, who are between medical cards, or who simply prefer to pay as they go.
